It took Tim Robbins twenty years to dig his way to freedom through solid concrete; and this year marks the 20th anniversary of The Shawshank Redemption. That gives you a good reason to re-watch possibly the greatest movie of all time. But heck, you really don't need a reason.
I've probably seen Shawshank five times by this point (once by myself, and the four subsequent with each uncultured girlfriend), and each time I swear it gets better. Mofrgan Freeman's performance is nothing short of legendary, Robbins is emotional without being overblown, and the warden is the perfect villain. Plus, it's a movie with a tax accountant as the hero. Why are you still here? Three bucks at a movie-streaming site of your choice. Happy Saturday.
