Nokia X - Android X Windows

 

 

Finally Nokia announced its most awaited smartphone series with a new platform which the company put it as below the Windows Phone Series and above its Smart Feature Phone OS Asha. In the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona, Nokia announced its new phone series with X platform. The new mobile platform is build by taking the AOSP (Android Open Source Platform).
 
The Smartphone seems to be like a bigger version of Asha phone but it is built on Android 4.4. Till date we have seen customized AOSP in Amazon Kindle tablets, now its time for Nokia. Getting into the details Nokia announced three new X series Smartphones which can run APK files side loaded.
 
Nokia X, Nokia X+ and Nokia XL are the phones which were announced by Nokia. Nokia XL is the high end in all of these. It looks like a Windows Phone. The UI is similar to the Windows Phone UI, it will be a smart move by Nokia for the people who wish an android experience with a Windows metro style UI. Live tiles, Notification Center and Lock-Screen wallpaper and so many features adopted from the Windows UI. Instead of using Google cloud servers, Nokia made a move to use Microsoft servers for the first time with Android device.
 
 
 
Nokia X is available with a price of 89 Euros, X+ available at 99 Euros and will be available in early Q2, 2014, Nokia XL at 109 Euros and available in early Q2, 2014.
All these devices have Fast Lane feature adopted from Nokia Asha Devices, Skype pre-installed in all the phones with a month's free world wide calling, access to outlook.com mail client and wiil come with 7 GB of free cloud storage Microsoft OneDrive recently changed its name from Skydrive.
 
 

 
Finally Nokia launched the X series after satisfying the its customers with the Windows Phones but considering the price point and specifications of the devices, it is a good take on the competitors
