Apple iPhone users browse the web more than Android users do

The latest stats from mobile ad network Chitika shows that in North America, Apple iPhone users were responsible for 53.1% of the mobile web traffic coming from smartphones last month. Android devices were used on 44.5% of mobile web traffic attributed to smartphones. What makes this interesting is that Android has the larger smartphone market share in the region.



Besides the advantage in sales, most Android handsets do have a larger screen than the iPhone, which would seem to give Android an advantage when it comes to browsing the web. This might say something about Safari, which has always ...
