Snapchat acquires video platform to try and do video chatting its own spontaneous way

Snapchat has confirmed its acquisition of the software company AddLive to develop its own cross-platform video messaging service. The deal went through several months ago. Snapchat took interest in AddLive's technology as it allows quick integration in existing products and a complete set of features, such as screen-sharing, multi-party conferencing, browser-based video chat, and more. Needless to say, video-chatting and other interesting functionality is coming to the dissappear-messenger, and co-founder Evan Spiegel introduced The Verge to some of it in an interview.
