As if we needed a new singing competition, Rising Star debuts 9pm EDT Sunday on ABC. What makes this show different than American Idol, X-Factor or The Voice, is that you can be a judge. In fact, all you need to do to become a judge, is to download the Rising Star app, and use it to vote for your favorite contestants.The app is available from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and the Windows Phone Store, and allows you to vote in real-time.
