Screenshot shows that in iOS 8, users are asked if apps can still use location data

A screenshot from an iOS 8 powered device, reveals that the new build of Apple's mobile OS will ask users if they still give permission to mobile apps to continue using location data. Back in the olden days when iOS 6 ruled the world, say back in 2012, Apple required the user to give express permission to allow an app to use location data to gather information.



This became an issue when it was discovered the same year, that apps like Path were uploading iPhone user's address books without permission. As it turned out, big names like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Foursquare were guilty ...
