Tata DOCOMO launched Photon Max Wi-Fi dongle last year. At the launch Tata Docomo offered speeds of up to 6.2 Mbps. Today the company has announced that it has upgraded the data speed of up to 9.8Mbps for the dongle since they have upgraded their network. All existing customers will automatically be able to access the higher speeds on their network as the network upgrade will be compatible with existing Photon Max Wi-Fi devices. This is currently available for customers in Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata. It would be subsequently extended to 8 other metro cities. The new upgraded network supports Rev. B Phase II CDMA technology. It lets you connect to up to 5 devices and is powered by Qualcomm Gobi with dual-core processor technology for faster and reliable connectivity. Tata Docomo offers pre-paid and postpaid plans, including postpaid unlimited plans. It also has zero roaming charges nationally.
