Reports from China relayed that MediaTek is about to announce a monster of an affordable processor tomorrow, July 15. Allegedly, it's the MT6595 - an octa-core 32-bit CPU with cutting-edge features such as 4G LTE network and QuadHD display support that's also able to hit speeds of up to 2.5GHz.The SoC is built on four Cortex-A17 cores and four Cortex-A7 cores - a mid-range solution, according to their chip designers from ARM. But if MediaTek is able to bring the aforementioned features to affordable devices, along with 4K recording and playback, then more power to the company, we say.
