Xiaomi launched the three new smartphones in India today. The Xiaomi Mi3 would go on sale in India for Rs. 13,999 next week, cheaper than the price tag that was announced last week. The Xiaomi Redmi Note is priced at Rs. 9999 and would go on sale in coming weeks. We got to check out the smartphone at the launch event. Check out the quick hardware walkthrough below. The Redmi Note has a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display based on OGS technology and 178-degree wide viewing angle. The variant that is launching in India has a 1.7 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor with Mali 450 GPU and has 2GB RAM. It runs on MIUI v5 ROM based on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera that would let you shoot better selfies. It has capacitive touch buttons below the display that has a glows in Red color. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with single LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture and supports 1080p video recording. The loudspeaker grill is present on the back.
