We're all familiar with wedding and baby registries. You list what you need, and friends and family buy you gifts from that registry. College students are now creating gift registries of their own to get everything they need for their dorm room or off-campus apartment.
CNN reports on this handy trend for college students. While Target has a specific college gift registry, many stores won't mind if you hijack a bridal or baby registry (most stores have an "other" option). The student specifies what they need online and other people buy it for them. This option is better than sending a gift card. Best of all with a registry, students won't get duplicate items. How many bed sheets do you need, after all?
It may be a bit late for all those graduation parties, but it's worth considering if you need anything else as the semester starts. Check out the link for more information.
