The Samsung Galaxy Alpha, the manufacturer's Apple iPhone challenger, will be available for pre-order in the U.K. starting on August 28th. With its metal chassis and 4.7 inch screen, the "premium" handset is designed to grab sales from the Apple iPhone 6, which is also expected to offer a 4.7 inch display. The resolution on the Samsung model is 720 x 1280, which works out to a 312ppi pixel density.The Galaxy Alpha is powered by an octa-core Exynos 5430 CPU, with the ARM Mali T-628 GPU crunching graphics.
