
Skip back to the dark ages of 2007, when the Apple iPhone launched and kickstarted a revolution in mobile, its 3.5-inch display seemed gigantic by all imaginable standards. Its dominance was not challenged by anything at first, but then Android stormed in with plenty of devices, and things changed quickly. The end result is obvious: the iPhone itself evolved to a larger display, and 3.5-inch displays have almost vanished, even when we're speaking about the most affordable of devices.
