Windows Phone version of BBM drops the 'beta"

The Windows Phone version of BBM, has dropped the "beta" title from the messaging app's listing in the Windows Phone Store. BlackBerry has opened up BBM to iOS, Android, and now Windows Phone users, in order to raise the value of the platform. Ever since WhatsApp was valued at $42 a subscriber by Facebook, BlackBerry CEO John Chen has tried to increase the number of eyeballs staring at BBM. By doing this, Chen has the option of selling off BBM if money becomes an issue.
