Here’s How to Get That U2 Album Off Your iPhone

We were all curious to see what Apple CEO Tim Cook’s response to the iCloud security breaches of two weeks ago would be, and it looks like we now have our answer: Hijack each one of our accounts and add the new U2 album to our libraries. “Hello hello,” Apple! If you don’t mind, we’d like to pick our own music to purchase from iTunes, free or not! It’s true. During the company’s iPhone and Apple Watch event Tuesday, Cook was joined on stage by the band and explained that the collection of 11 songs, which you know by now is titled Songs of Innocence, would be “going out for free” on iTunes. First things first: If you are subscribed to iTunes Match, it’s likely that all the Songs of Innocence are already downloaded to your phone’s storage by default.
