Learn How to Switch from Android to iPhone with Apple's Guide

Unsurprisingly, Apple would like to help Android users move to the iPhone. So with the new iPhones currently available for pre-order, the company has released an in-depth guide to moving your content from your Android phone to the iPhone.

It covers moving your: email, contacts, and calendars, photos and videos, music, books and PDFs, documents, and apps. Unfortunately, any paid Android apps can't be ported over—you have to buy them again—but otherwise the page walks you through moving your data from your old phone to your new iPhone so you can make a clean switch from Android to iPhone. (Our guide has more details on things outside of moving content—like getting used to the interface.)

TechHive notes that automatic migration tools, such as those from HTC and Motorola, are easier to use than these directions, but Apple's guide still could be a handy reference for everyone jumping ship to the iPhone.
