Pilots in the U.S. and in Europe now are officially allowed to replace their bulky, unwieldy flight bags, with a Surface Pro 3 tablet. While Delta pilots are using the Surface 2 to replace their bags, the Surface Pro 3 approval includes thumbs up for special software and hardware that accompany the newer tablet. The approval for U.S. pilots came from the FAA, while European fly boys received thumbs up from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
