What Would You Like To See In A New PC Gamepad?

Back in 2013, Lifehacker asked its readers what the Best PC Gamepad was, and predictably, console controllers took over 80% of the vote, with the Xbox 360 Controller getting the lion's share. If we ran the same poll now, the DualShock 4 and Xbox One Controller would take a chunk of the votes, but the result would be the same: console controllers are still the default PC gamepads.

This isn't a bad thing in the grand scheme of things. The consoles, especially the new-gen consoles, have fantastic controllers, but that doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement for PC gamers.

Razer made a valiant effort with the Sabertooth, a pricey take on the Xbox 360 Controller with an onboard OLED, great buttons (and extra ones), and other smart features, but in spite of good reviews the Sabertooth didn't take the market by storm. The venerable Logitech F710 also has quite a few fans, and of course the Steam Controller still carries a big question mark with it.

But we want to hear from you. Do PC gamers need a gamepad built from the ground up for the PC, and what features should/could that peripheral pack in?
