Android made its public debut in September 2008 on the T-Mobile G1 / HTC Dream smartphone, thus being 6 years (and 1 month!) old now. Who would have thought, 6 years ago, that this would grow to become the world’s leading smartphone platform before the end of 2010? Not many, if anyone at all.
