Report: Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge will not be waterproof

* The Samsung Galaxy S5 surprised many when it was introduced at MWC last February with IP67 certification. That means that the device can be submerged in up to 3.2 feet of water for as long as 30 minutes, and emerge unscathed. Prior to this model, only the "Active" version of the Samsung Galaxy S series featured any type of serious resistance to water.



Surprisingly, it would appear that Samsung is reverting to its old practices. A report out of Korea on Tuesday says that neither the Samsung Galaxy S6 nor the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge will be water resistant. The report adds that such a feature ... *
