Samsung inadvertently posts SAR rating for the S6 Edge: radiation levels lower than any other flagship

* The SAR phone rating stands for Specific Absorption Rate, as it relates to the radiation exposure levels of electronic devices. It’s an important measurement for human health and that’s why all phones undergo careful evaluation of their SAR by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States. The legal limit for a device to pass testing is 1.6 watts per kilogram (W/kg), averaged over one gram of tissue - for example the iPhone 6's rating is .01 below the legal 1.6 W/kg limit, so still within the norm.
