Steve Jobs told Disney CEO Iger about his cancer diagnosis 30 minutes before Disney bought Pixar

* The latest excerpt to be released from the upcoming book "Becoming Steve Jobs" reveals that less than one hour before announcing the purchase of Pixar in 2006, Disney CEO Bob Iger was told that Steve Jobs' cancer had returned. It was a secret that Iger would keep for three years before Jobs took a leave of absence from Apple. The Disney executive later told the authors of the new book, which drops on March 24th, that he worried about the implications of what he had done in light of market regulators calling for more transparency in the corporate boardroom.
