Apple Music gets Freedom by Pharrell Williams as its first exclusive track

Apple Music's first major exclusive track is coming courtesy of Pharrell Williams.

Pharrell Williams will provide one of the first of Apple Music's exclusives with the new track "Freedom". The song made an appearance during the Apple Music announcement at WWDC, and can be heard as part of Apple's Worldwide video promoting Music. Pharrell announced that the track would be exclusive to Apple's upcoming streaming music service on Twitter:

In the run up to the Apple Music unveiling, it was said that Apple was trying to negotiate exclusive deals with artists, and the debut of Pharrell's single on their service is undoubtedly the product of that. Apple is also said to be pursuing deals with artists like Taylor Swift and Florence and the Machine.

You'll be able to listen to the full song when "Freedom" launches with Apple Music next Tuesday, June 30.
