Yesterday we saw a set of benchmarks allegedly from an MSM8996 chipset, denoting the upcoming Snapdragon 820 monster from Qualcomm. The single-core score was higher than what Exynos 7420 in Galaxy S6, and Snapdragon 810 in Xiaomi Mi Note Pro had achieved, while the multi-core mark slid a tad underneath the Exynos.
Nevertheless, these are some of the earliest benchmarks of Snapdragon 820 we are witnessing, and they bode well for the finalized product, given that it is built on Samsung's 14nm process, and likely won't have the thermal throttling issues that its 810 predecessor ...
