Samsung is on a patent-filing spree, as the announcements of the Galaxy S6 edge Plus and Note 5 are fast approaching. Just last week, July 6th, the company has filed for a so-called Apps Edge patent with the USPTO, which, something tells us, is aimed at making a better use of the sloping display sides on the "edge" versions of Samsung's flagships.
Apps Edge is apparently “for use in organizing and allowing quick access to frequently used applications,” which goes to show that it is a shortcut system of sorts, that will be placed on the active side screen of the phone. Now, ...
