According to these leaked schematics below, allegedly depicting the dimensions for the upcoming next iPhone 6s, the phone will be slightly thicker than the current, 6.9mm iPhone 6 edition. If the showing here holds water when the new iPhone is announced, then it could be due to several reasons, but hopefully it will be because the iPhone 6s will house a larger battery.
Given the rumors, however, that Apple's screen suppliers are having issues making enough in-cell touch screens for the alleged higher screen resolution of the iPhone 6s, the new handset could arrive ...
