Meizu Pro 5 delay to be just six days; $1.5 million to be spent on compensation to buyers

*A couple of days ago, we told you that a typhoon that smacked Meizu's production facilities in Southern China, was behind a costly delay in the shipping of the Meizu Pro 5 handset. The original launch date of October 12th had been pulled, and on Friday when the story first broke, a new launch date had not been announced. Based on the serious nature of the incident, it appeared that the delay could be a long one.

Today, the story has been changed. According to Meizu, the delay will last all of six days. And the reason for the tardy appearance of the phone has nothing to do with a typhoon. ...
